Oh my gosh I LOVED shooting this wedding. Vanessa and Cody were so laid back and so funny and fun not to mention that Prince Edward County is one of the most gorgeous places to shoot in Ontario. If you’re searching for a beautiful destination location with tons to do, great places to eat and drink! this part of Canada is a must.

I met Cody when he MC’d for another couples wedding I photographed a few years ago in Toronto. Vanessa was new to the scene at the time (I believe!!) and was in Ireland working on her PhD so she wasn’t able to be his +1. That wedding though (shout out to Maddy and Sean) became the basis for so many of Vanessa and Cody’s decisions as they relied on Maddie for her expertise in many areas including photography! (happy dance).

Vanessa got ready at her parents cottage. God I love going into people’s homes to photograph them. It’s so fun to see them fit into their surroundings and I feel so creative in these environments.

Cody got ready at the Drake Devonshire and it’s also where they had their first look. This place is gorgeous and right on the lake so a perfect location in my mind.

Their ceremony was at Fields on West Lake which is a big beautiful barn venue with tons of land for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and cool old buildings that shaded the bride and groom and their guests during their cocktail party.
