Lily is serious about classical music, Sofiane is serious about Lily, they are both more experienced than anyone I’ve every met in creating the perfect jumping pictures, and it seems they are both quite into The Minions, so what’s not to love?
Their wedding day was beautiful and elegant but also funny, fun, and full of “them”, that kind of them that everyone tries to achieve on their wedding day. I adored their venue, my first time shooting a wedding at the Canadian Museum of History if you can believe it! and it didn’t hurt that Sarah Alexandra was behind the reigns, the day was flawless.
Lily dressed at the Hilton Lac Leamy, which is a special hotel for them not far from home where they’ve celebrated many milestones while Sofiane dressed in the comfort of their cozy home. Their first look took place just between the National Arts Centre and the Rideau Canal Locks, a perfect spot rain or shine for memorable wedding photos as long as you don’t mind a tourist or 20 cheering you on! These two had many elements that I loved about their day but two highlights that really stand out were their boat taxi across the Ottawa River to their ceremony where guests could watch them approach and their dance down the aisle together to Happy. Elements like these made it an even more memorable and fun day.
Congratulations you two. What will our next project be? xo
What lovely photos, AM! So great at capturing the warmth and fun! And wow – what a cake. Can you believe how amazing wedding cakes are nowadays?? Damn.
I know Dom! Weddings in general have really just taken off since we got married!! 🙂
