If you follow my blog you’ve no doubt already seen Jen and Simon’s wedding photos featured a few places. Now it’s finally my turn to show you how I saw it all.

One thing I’ve learned to love about a wedding day over my years photographing them, are the looks exchanged and the words shared amongst friends and family with the bride and groom. I get a unique perspective into this special world because I’m looking for those reactions, those looks, those moments shared.

Jen and Simon’s wedding was full of all these things. I think, actually I know, that they bring out the best in those around them. Simon’s brother’s best man speech I’m pretty sure made everyone blush and made everyone laugh. Jen’s twin sister Jess, although she hates public speaking, spoke the most touching words thanking Simon and Jen for moving back to Canada from England so she could have her best friend back. I’ll never forget the sweetness in her voice and the intensity of their connection. These are the moments that make a wedding so special. When else do we get the chance to tell our closest people how much we love them and how much they mean to us?

This is why every wedding is unique, why I absolutely loved Jen and Simon’s wedding, and why I love photographing weddings every single weekend despite the fact that my feet get sore and I get de-hydrated because I can’t miss a moment and never remember to drink water. It’s a beautiful thing being part of a day like this one. Thank you Jen and Simon for picking me to capture your memories. Thank you to your amazing team that pulled it all together and to you, your family, and friends for making us feel like a special part of the day.
