Last June I was contacted by an Australian writer, Katie Preston Toepfer. This is what she said, “I was just looking at this image of yours I found on Polka Dot Weddings. Just beautiful! I am a Sydney-based writer who is in the process of compiling a book of beautiful images of dogs in weddings. After seeing your image I wanted to get in contact with you and find out if you would be happy for a photograph from this wedding to be considered for our project.”

To be honest, I kinda thought it was a joke. Usually I seek out publications, was someone actually coming to me? Yep! They were and they were serious! I wrote back to Katie explaining that the images she saw were actually from an inspiration shoot, not a real wedding but she was still interested and after seeking Jasmine and Tom’s approval we were in!

I received my copy of the book yesterday and I’m really excited. This is the first time I’ve been in print in a real significant way and it feels amazing. Thanks to little Dexter for being so darn photogenic! I’m sorry he won’t be in Italy with us for Jasmine and Tom’s real wedding this May but I’m sure he’ll be on his parents’ minds.
