Cupcake-alicious

Have you heard of the flour shoppe? If you haven’t you’re in for a very very very yummy surprise. I first met Melissa Somers, founder and owner of the shoppe, at a holiday party last year. Actually, I didn’t quite meet Melissa that night as much as I met her cupcakes.

I’ve always loved photographing wedding cakes but I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of photographing cupcakes. Now that I have I am in love. These little beauties are as delicious as they are gorgeous. In a few short months you’ll be able to pick them up yourself at the flour shoppe in the Glebe. Plus, don’t you think these are a great alternative to wedding cakes? You can do so much with them: switch up flavours, colours, their display, and even personalize them. So far lemon-raspberry and double-chocolate are tied as my favourites. I’m so excited for the shoppe’s grand opening and even more excited that it’s conveniently located on my walk to work.
