Frosty fields ~ sunrise on film

Frosty fields ~ sunrise on film

Very early one morning some friends helped me make a sunrise idea come to life.

These sisters (and best friends) are lucky enough to fit into their grandmother’s beautiful gowns and I’m lucky enough that they don’t mind traipsing through frosty fields wearing them at the break of day.

It was an early, dark and cold morning as we drove to to meet the sunrise. All I had to do was role out of bed but Christiane and Marielle on the other hand had a little more prep to do. I love the magical feeling of getting up before the rest of the world and taking advantage of a light that not everyone gets to see. Thanks you two for helping me make this happen and of course to your grandmother for her continued supply of beautiful things to photograph.

Florals created by AMBphoto with the help of Blumenstudio; Location is my favorite farm in Chelsea, Quebec, Hendrick Farms; Shot on Fuji 400H.

  1. How is a girl supposed to pick a favourite when you put up a collection like this.  Amazing light and I adore how you have captured this location.  Gorgeous models never hurt.

  2. lucky girls to have stylish grandmothers! these photographs you made are just so beautiful. Sunrise light is quite something too.
