In Ottawa today we’re getting 20-30 cm of snow, it’s a winter wonderland out there so it was only fitting to post my most recent engagement session shot on a similar day in January this year.

I laughed, a lot, when I read about Amy Schumer’s engagement session skit because I LOVE posing people under trees (Google the skit if you haven’t seen it already).

She wore a vintage blue velvet gown and he almost stole the show in his handsome tailored suit.

“Scooch down, snuggle up, a teeny bit closer,” I now understand why people thought I was such a nerd in high school.

I do love the mystery evoked by a good black and white photo.

I left this session thinking about one of my all time favorite movies, Love Story. You may or may not have seen it but it’s a heartbreaker (really, don’t watch it unless you want to cry) and the couple is so so sooo in love.
